Fast, Convenient FEC Testing for Horses

Roundworm FEC testing while we weigh your horse

We can carry out faecal egg count (FEC) testing for roundworms at the same time as your horse weighing appointment, saving you time and avoiding the need for a separate visit.

Using the FECpak G2 digital FEC system, samples can be tested on site, provided there is a suitable mobile data signal.

The process is simple and designed to provide rapid results:

A fresh faecal sample is prepared on site.
The FECpak G2 takes a digital image of the sample.
The image is securely uploaded to the cloud, where AI technology counts the parasite eggs.
An approved technician also checks the sample image as part of the testing process.
Preliminary results are normally available in less than 10 minutes after the image has been uploaded.

This means you can get a much clearer picture of your horse’s parasite burden while we are already at the yard, helping you make more informed decisions about worm control rather than routinely treating without knowing whether treatment is needed.
